The Croft, 37 Fairholme Road, Davenham
Bathed in southern light and framed by mature gardens, The Croft offers a refined vision of contemporary family living in Davenham. With 2,491 sq ft of beautifully crafted living space — vaulted ceilings, bespoke cabinetry, a spa-inspired wet room and a garden-facing entertaining terrace — the home already whispered lifestyle. Our role was to bring that whisper to life, curating every space with elegance, atmosphere and narrative so the home could shine as a haven of calm, design-led comfort and timeless style.
The Challenge
The Croft arrived on the market with all the hallmarks of a desirable Cheshire home — generous, well-proportioned rooms, thoughtful design touches and a south-facing garden that promised light, privacy and outdoor living. The opportunity lay not in changing the home, but in shaping the story it told.
Our task was to highlight how this home would live: morning light dancing off the vaulted ceiling; casual breakfasts at the island; summer evenings spilling onto terraced gardens; quiet retreats in the wet-room en-suite; and family dinners under soft glow. We needed to translate bricks and mortar into emotion, atmosphere, and lifestyle — so buyers could see not just walls and rooms, but a life worth embracing.
Our Approach
We treated The Croft not as a listing, but as a lifestyle — designing its presentation to reflect light, flow, calm and possibility.
- Pre-market styling and staging: curated tones, layered textures and accessories to bring cohesion and warmth, aligning with a relaxed, modern family aesthetic.
- Lifestyle-led photography: capturing the vaulted volumes, glazed doors, angled light and indoor–outdoor flow — with every angle chosen to evoke calm, contemporary living rather than just show dimensions.
- Outdoor evening & garden photography: twilight shots of the terrace, pergola, outdoor kitchen and garden features — to communicate summer gatherings, relaxed evenings and the sense of space beyond the walls.
- Detail-driven visuals: stone countertops, hand-painted cabinetry, stylish finishes, wet-room tiling, lit dressing area — highlighting the craftsmanship and boutique feel.
- Narrative-led copywriting: creating a story that connected rooms, light, garden and lifestyle — so buyers could imagine weekend breakfasts, summer dinners, and quiet morning coffees.
- Marketing positioning: targeted at Cheshire and Davenham buyers who value homely design, lifestyle flow, and a home that offers both comfort and sophistication.
Every decision — from styling, to photography, to copy — was aimed at evoking a lifestyle, not just presenting a house.
The Result
The Croft transformed from a well-appointed property to a fully realised lifestyle proposition: a home that felt lighter, warmer, more considered — somewhere you could see yourself living, relaxing, entertaining, and growing.
The vaulted family room became an uplifting everyday space; the kitchen-diner revealed itself as the social hub; the garden, pergola and terraces emerged as extensions of the living space, inviting al-fresco evenings and summer gatherings. The en-suite and upstairs bedrooms felt like personal retreats.
Through a combination of refined styling, photography and narrative, we didn’t just present a house — we presented the life it promised. The response underlined a truth we hold dear: that in luxury property, lifestyle sells far more powerfully than specs alone.
Lifestyle-led presentation ensured The Croft’s true character was revealed — showcasing not just rooms, but a way of living. Homes of this quality deserve to be seen in the right light. Speak to J Lord & Co about elevating yours.
